Researchers
in our group are interested in
attachment, autism, conceptual change, language acquisition, theory of
mind, social reasoning, visual development, and substance abuse.
The
Department of Psychology at UCSD is home to eight faculty researchers
who ask developmental questions. The department is a short walk to the UCSD Center for Human Development, and to the Department of Cognitive Science,
providing a unique context for developmental research. Besides having a
strong focus on developmental research, UCSD also home to the UCSD Human Development Program, which offers undergraduate degrees that span multiple disciplines.
Graduate

The
Department of Psychology is currently home to 65 graduate
students, and is a top ranked research center. Graduate students in Developmental Psychology often work

Undergraduate
research opportunities
Undergraduate
students at UCSD can participate in research as volunteer researchers,
or for credit by as a "199". To find out more about 199 opportunities,
click here. Interested students can also perform research via the UCSD Psychology Honors program.
Developmental
Lunch
Developmental Lunch meetings are held in the Glass Conference Room on the fifth floor of McGill Hall at 12 noon.
