Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate
students are encouraged to participate in developmental research across
campus. In psychology, students can volunteer in labs, or they can conduct projects for credit as a "199". Interested students can also perform research via the UCSD Psychology Honors program.
Undergraduates learn a variety of skills which vary from lab to lab,
including how to design studies, administer experiments, analyze data,
and present findings to peers. Conducting research as an undergraduate
is often a critical stepping stone to life as a graduate researcher,
providing contact with the research world, and helping students to
discover their core interests.
